RFP – Trainer – Trauma Informed Care

Request for Proposals for
Trauma Informed Care Trainer


The Hoh Tribe is seeking proposals from organizations and entities, with trainers who will conduct a 2 day workshop on Trauma Informed Care. Participants of this workshop will be all Hoh Tribe Family Service staff, Tribal Law Enforcement, and Tribal Court Staff; it will also be open and available for other tribe’s to participate in. This is an effort to increase and improve knowledge and skills for staff and community.

SAMSHA says individual trauma results from an event series of events, or set of circumstances that is experienced by an individual as physically or emotionally harmful or threatening and that has lasting adverse effects on their functioning and physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being. SAMSHA defines a “trauma informed care” approach as a program, organization or system that is trauma-informed realizing the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for healing; recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in staff, clients and others involved with the system; and responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, practices and settings.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from various candidate organizations, or entities to provide this training.


In your response, please tell us about your training, how it meets SAMSHA’s criteria and include the cost for a 2 day workshop. Please tell us how your training will meet our needs and grow our staff as we strive to build resiliency of our youth and families. Describe your experience in providing this type of training. Please provide a timeline outlining key activities for this 4-5 day project, including curriculum, pre and post instruction. Include a current resume, references from no less than 3 professionals/ past clients who can verify your experience. Include your fee structure.
