Hoh Tribe Housing Department manages rental units developed under the 1937 Housing Act. To be eligible for these programs, families must be Native Americans with an annual income not exceeding 80% of median income for the nearby Counties. In addition, families must meet certain background requirements. Families pay 20% of the monthly adjusted income for rent and a security deposit of last months rent is required. There is currently a long waiting list for this program, but applications are still being taken. If you’re interested in this, the application is below.

The Hoh Tribal Housing Committee has created the Rental Assistance Program to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing for low-income Hoh Tribal Members. The purpose of the rental assistance housing program is to provide applicants whose income falls at or below 80% of the median income as defined in the Native American Housing Assistance and Self Determination Act of 1996(NAHASDA) along with other applicable rules and regulations as set forth by Hoh Tribal Housing Department policies and procedures. Through the Rental Assistance Program, eligable families are assisted with first and last months rent.

The application below can also be used for the Emergency Home Repair Program. In this case,  the person applying should be legal owner. The Tribe will provide assistance to pay for labor, materials and related costs associated with the emergency repair of privately-owned homes. Eligible low income families may receive grant funds not exceeding a certain amount during any 12 month period for the repair of their home. This assistance is a grant to the family and will be paid directly to the vendor, contractor, or appropriate agency that requires specific types of fees for permits, fees, or licensing requirements to rehabilitate a house. No payments will be made to the family. Must reside in Jefferson, Clallam, or Grays Harbor County.
